Role Summary/Purpose

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer’s equipment and driving customer satisfaction through excellent customer service, proactive service activities, and a positive attitude.

Essential Responsibilities

Key responsibilities functions include: • Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment. • Completing Preventative Maintenance, calibrations, and repairs to component and sub-assembly levels. • Ordering and managing repair parts. • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer data, files, service tickets, and corporate paperwork submissions in a timely manner. • Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. • Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated. • Meeting Environment Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements. • Participating in sales opportunities such as contract renewals and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs. • Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area. • May include training of clinical staff on designated equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements

Associates degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent military education, with 5 years of experience servicing Diagnostic Imaging Equipment. High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years experience servicing Diagnostic Imaging Equipment is also acceptable. • Willingness to travel 60% as needed to support company goals • you must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history and educational background. • Willingness to take a drug test • You must be eligible to be legally authorized to work in the United States • Must have a valid driver's license • Experience diagnosing and repairing Diagnostic Imaging Equipment to include X-Ray, R&F, C-Arms, Cath, and Portable X-Ray. • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns. • To the extent you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a SPBS owned/leased, privately owned/leased or rental vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record • Must live in or near Odessa, TX or be willing to relocate.

Desired Characteristics

Previous experience servicing diagnostic imaging X-Ray, R&F, C-Arms, Cath, and Portable X-Ray. • Previous experience servicing Siemens and GE diagnostic imaging X-Ray, R&F, C-Arms, Cath, and Portable X-Ray.• Previous experience with GE Healthcare • Previous experience servicing Diagnostic Imaging Equipment in a healthcare environment • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a customer centric service process • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment in the Healthcare Industry • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns • Exceptional interpersonal skills


Biomedical Equipment Technician (Field Service) - Lubbock, TX

Responsibilities:

Preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of medically related equipment as it pertains to the medical field. Position requires up to 80% travel.

Position Requirements:

Qualified applicant shall posses a minimum of an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
