preston braxton, REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER
Preston Braxton is a Regional Operations Manager of SPBS, Inc., based in our Houston office. As regional operations manager, he oversees service delivery operations in Central and Southeast Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Missouri and works with the executive team to develop plans for operations strategy, budget and human capital utilization. Additionally, Mr. Braxton continues field based work, including but not limited to, inspection, repair and preventative maintenance services on biomedical equipment.
Mr. Braxton entered the healthcare industry and began his career, in 2004, as a biomedical intern for SPBS, Inc. Throughout this time, he has held numerous leadership roles within the company, established a branch office in Dallas/Fort Worth, New Jersey and relocated our Waco branch office to Austin. In this capacity, he was instrumental in three HTM software conversions and upgrades. Since 2015, he’s served as platform administrator of our current HTM software solution.
Additionally, Mr. Braxton maintains Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) and Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM) credentials from the AAMI Credentials Institute. Mr. Braxton is a current board member of Healthcare Technology Management Association (HTMA) Texas, serves on the San Jacinto Community College South Biomedical Clinical Equipment Technician Advisory Committee and member of Medical Equipment & Technology Association (META).
Mr. Braxton earned his AAS degrees in both Biomedical Equipment Technology and Computer Science Technology from Texas State Technical College. He is a resident of Pearland where he enjoys spending time with his daughter and two Flat-Coated Retrievers. His hobbies include baseball, football, motorsports and Texas Hold ’em.
